Tidewater Ebb and Flo

This was painted on location in South West France.
It was one of those perfect days - I was sitting on the edge of a tidal estuary, peaking through the hollyhocks that grew tall and free, feeling the soft breeze, hearing the tide come in and watching the illusive reflections of light and colour in the water while I painted.
